Mind-Body Therapy

We believe that people are not just physical bodies, but many different and unique parts that comprise a whole being. Sometimes, different parts of ourselves are ignored or pushed away because of past hurtful experiences. Because of this, we do not function to our full potential and can become sick, fearful, or even depressed. By using mind-body therapy techniques, we attempt to integrate all parts of a person including the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Some of the specific techniques we use are art therapy, breathing, visualization, and meditation practices, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)/"Tapping"somatic experiencing (for trauma work), and a specialized method called Splankna, a Christian-based practice that helps to reintegrate and increase functioning in the body and mind.
